Introduction :: a general introduction regarding how to use phpWebSite to create a web site.

terminology

Control Panel :: where it all happens.  Once logged in to your site, the Control Panel provides access to the tools necessary for creating and modifying the entire web site: pages, links, menus, user IDs, etc.
Site Content :: the most useful Control Panel category.  It is where most of your work will take place, as it is where all site modules are located.
Administration :: another critical category featured in the Control Panel, for it is here that you can customize the site layout, as well as manage site users.
Modules :: page components with unique functions, such as Calendar for posting events or Menu for creating site navigation. When assembled, they form the foundation of your web site.  Specific modules are defined at right.
main modules
Web Pages :: create and edit web pages for your site, including your home page, using PageMaster, now called Web Pages.
Menu Manager :: used to create menus (a list of links), thereby enabling visitors to navigate your site.
Block Maker :: one of the most basic components of a web site. Blocks are used for placing small amounts of content on your site.
Calendar :: post events in calendar format, displayed on your site in Daily, Weekly, and Monthly views. Also includes a small view which allows users to see what is coming up within the next few days.
Announcements :: allows visitors, registered users and site administrators to post important news or announcements on the main page, including future announcements that automatically post on their specified date.
