The Fir Woods Neighborhood Association (FWNA) works to pro-actively enhance the livability of the neighborhood by establishing and maintaining open lines of communication between neighbors , government agencies and officials, educational institutions, area business associations, and other neighborhood groups.
Resident membership is open to all residents within the boundaries of FWNA. And it's free!

autumn moon festival
Fir Woods' Autumn Moon Festival runs September 29 - October 1. Similar to harvest festivals held throughout the world, the Moon festival coincides with the Mid-Autumn Festival, one of the most celebrated Chinese holidays, which dates back well over 1,000 years and honors the bounty of the summer harvest.
In Fir Woods, Northwest First Street will feature entertainment and 3rd Street will host a variety of cultural presentations from different ethnic communities in Portland.
